Tasks:
- Provide Assistance To The VP Of External Affairs In All Matters Related To Development/fundraising, Marketing, And Communications
- Manage Grant And Proposal Writing Process In A Timely Manner
- Research And Write Letters Of Inquiry And Grant Proposals
- Write And Submit Donor Reports And Due-diligence
- Interact In The Development Of The Strategic Fundraising Plan
- Provide Timely Advice And Information To VP Of External Affairs On Funding Opportunities, Requirements, And Procedures
- Use ResultsPlus Software To Maintain A Database Of Current And Potential Funders, Contact Persons, Public Support
- Maintain And Update Database As Needed And Create Reports To Track Progress In Fundraising
- Maintain An Organized Filing System, Project And Program Files
- Attend Pre-proposal And Grant Related Conferences/trainings As Assigned
- Implement An Individual Donor / Direct Mail Campaign
- Coordinate Special Events As Needed
- Assist VP Of External Affairs In Advancing Government, Non-profit, And Corporate Partnerships
- Participate In Advancing The Mission And Philosophy Of ACCION Texas
- Meet Fundraising Goals Set Each Year
- Perform Other Duties As Assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Writing Expertise Required; Grant Writing Experience A Plus
- Research Experience
- Excellent Oral And Written Communications Skills
- Effective Project Management Skills
- Demonstrated Leadership, Able To Inspire Collaboration Among Staff
- Ability To Gather, Interpret And Present A Variety Of Data
- A Passion For Economic And Community Development
