Since 1994, we have been offering a “hand up” to those striving to support themselves and their families through small business initiatives. Through our loans and services, we help micro-entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, stabilize their incomes, create new job and contribute to the economic activity in their communities.
We are dedicated to increasing incomes and creating jobs by providing micro entrepreneurs with access to credit and business support services not available from the commercial banking sector.

ACCION Texas Inc. is a nonprofit microfinance company based in San Antonio with operations in Texas (Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Dallas/Fort Worth, El Paso, Houston, Laredo, McAllen), Louisiana (Alexandria, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Shreveport), Arkansas (Little Rock, Helena) and Missouri (Cape Girardeau.) ACCION Texas Inc. has the nation’s largest microlender portfolio and has more than $28 million in loans under management.

Recommended Qualifications :
·Knowledge of fundamentals of business and business resource services ·Strong understanding of business financials and a demonstrated ability to provide recommendations and strategies on how to improve the financial situation of small businesses. ·Demonstrated ability to understand and counsel small business owners on preparing financial statements and/or projections. ·Ability to plan and conduct business workshops on a variety of business related topics (financial management, managing cash flow, business credit, business plan development and implementation) ·Proficiency in Quick Books and ability to train in QB. ·Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is considered a plus.
Responsibilities :
·Support the ACCION lending and learning team and ATI clients’ business financial needs. Loan Officer Northwest Texas Region
Position Title: Loan Officer Northwest Texas Region Reports to: Vice President Northern Region in Dallas, TX
The Loan Office Northwest Texas Region is responsible for loan origination to small businesses in urban and rural locations where traditional sources of capital are not readily accessible. This business development position is responsible for achieving a specific lending goal each month in dollar value and number of loans. ACCION’s target market includes entrepreneurs who have been denied access to credit from conventional sources.
This is a new position in a new market requiring an individual who is a strong self starter, creative and a problem solver. This position requires an individual with a broad regional community network capable of effectively marketing ACCION’s products and services in urban and rural areas. This individual will be responsible for developing relationships with and interfacing with banks, borrowers and the business community at large. The Loan Officer Northwest Texas Region must be driven by the social mission of ACCION to provide credit and service to small businesses that do not have access to loans from commercial sources.
As needed, the Loan Officer Northwest Texas Region provides advice and financial analysis of the client’s business while educating the client on best practices, business principles, and industry/business standards and needs. This position requires comprehensive business knowledge in personal and business financials, sales and marketing, business management, and other business concepts/practices.
Qualifications: • Passion for microfinance and the organizational mission of providing credit to small businesses that do not have access to loans from commercial sources-Required • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, Marketing, Management or Technology-Recommended • Two-five years of entrepreneurial, financial, industrial or technical sales and management teaching or counseling experience- Recommended • Understanding of the fundamentals of business, business finance and business lending • Skilled at writing and formalizing business, marketing and strategic planning • Ability to analyze and reconcile business financials-Required • Ability to provide guidance on cost and pricing products and services, market research and financial forecasting. Required • Ability to plan and conduct business workshops (financial management, marketing, managing cash flow, business credit, business plan development/implementation, human resource management, operations, tax issues, certification and contracting, etc.)- Required • Sales experience and proven sales success-Preferred. • Very proactive and people oriented with proven ability to network and build relationships. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as experience with public speaking and facilitation of meetings-Required • Proficient in Microsoft and social media applications • Attention to detail is critical in this role. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Recommended • Reliable transportation, flexible schedule and ability to travel
Responsibilities Lending: • Generate quality business loan production to meet organizational loan production goals; • Effectively perform outreach and marketing about ACCION Texas-Louisiana’s products and services; • Administer and manage lending process by serving as a conduit between client and underwriting team, i.e. loan processors, loan closing staff, and underwriting staff, to insure that all required supporting documentation has been gathered to insure loan applications are completed. • Conduct site, collection, and follow up visits to current lending clients. Conduct collateral inspections for loan applicants. • Work with collections and loan officers to ensure clients are successfully maintaining their business.
Business Advising: • Provide business counseling at all stages of ACCION clients’ business life cycle (from startup, established, expansion, and struggles), as needed. • Recognize client status toward a business loan and prepare client for business lending . • Partner with technical partners to provide training on business topics, including: business plan preparation, marketing, accounting 101, and other support. Preparing prospects for a loan is a source for new business. • Plan and conduct training and marketing seminars. • Work with Asset Protection to provide clients options when struggling with loan payment. • Communicate with the VP Communications to maintain updated business training materials and collateral pieces.
Administrative: • Create and maintain client and partner information in ACCION’s database. Become proficient utilizing CRM to maintain client and partner information • Maintain and update goals, plans and reports set forth by ACCION or donors • As growth occurs, manage the local office and supervise the Loan Processor. • Conduct other duties as assigned

Job Description The Loan Officer is responsible for the development, cultivation, and growth of business lending for ACCION Texas-Louisiana (ATL) in the target market and region. The Loan Officer is focused on community outreach in order to increase visibility of ACCION Texas-Louisiana and bring in quality loan applications.
The Loan Officer must be driven by the social mission on ATL to provide credit and service to small businesses that do not have access to loans from commercial sources. The position will represent ATL by interfacing with banks, borrowers, and the business community at large.
The Loan Officer works with internal staff and external customers to successfully generate quality business loans in their respective markets. The position is directly responsible for business development and sales and will have a specific lending goal to attain during each month.
The Loan Officer constantly examines and develops methods of increasing ACCION Texas Louisiana’s market presence and production. The Loan Officer, as a front line employee, recommends and develops ways to effectively and efficiently provide products and services to our clients to ensure customer satisfaction. The Loan Officer will report to the Vice President of their Market Area.
Responsibilities: • Generate quality business loan production to meet organizational loan production goals • Effectively perform outreach and marketing about ACCION Texas Louisiana’s products and services • Administer and manage lending process by serving as a conduit between client and underwriting team • Maintain the quality of the portfolio in your service area • Maintain contact with current borrowers • Generate business lending leads consistently • Initiate loans through multiple avenues and conduct presentations to referral sources /borrowers. • Manage, participate, and support documentation gathering of loan approvals and client data entry accurately in the ATL client management database system. • Serve as key relationship manager of loan applicants. • Provide lending information to potential customers. • Manage loan lead activity in client management system. • Work with loan processors, loan closing staff, and underwriting staff to insure that all required supporting documentation has been gathered to insure loan applications are completed. • Conduct site, collection, and follow up visits to current lending clients. Conduct collateral inspections for loan applicants. • Participate in loan closings • Maintain respective office procedures and conduct other duties as assigned • All other duties assigned.

Job Description: The loan processor is responsible for supporting the loan officers and borrowers to successfully process business loans. Loan officers have a monthly loan goal and the loan processor plays a key role in ensuring that the monthly goal is met.
The loan processor supports loan officers by gathering client financial documentation, entering and updating loan application files, following up with clients, providing information via phone calls to current and potential customers, creating and processing documentation for applications and closings, and providing high quality service.
Loan processors must have great attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple loan applications, which entails working closely with applicants and loan officers.
The loan processor must be driven by the social mission of ACCION Texas-Louisiana to provide credit and service to small businesses that do not have access to loan from commercial sources. The loan processor position primary interacts with the loan officer and potential and current borrowers.
Skills & Qualifications: • Passionate about microfinance and helping entrepreneurs start or grow their small business • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills • Ability to work independently to complete loan applications • Familiarity with multi-line telephone system • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple applications • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Computer literate in Microsoft programs • Ability to handle cash/payment/deposit transactions • Bilingual (English/Spanish) • Project a positive and professional image • Experience in administrative/office support practices and procedures
Responsibilities: • Provide follow up and outreach to applicants as soon as they begin the loan process • Manage intake, input, and quality of loan applications • Gather all necessary documents from the borrower • Prepare loan packages for final review • Manage high telephone call volume • Answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner • Provide detailed information on loan applications at all times to administration, loan officers, and clients • Provide program information to inquiries • Conduct information sessions • Conduct loan closings • Initiate reminder calls and collection calls for late payments • Maintain office filing system and tracking system • Receive payments and make deposits • Provide administrative support to loan officer • Conduct other duties as assigned
